Finally got my stuff out, a year and a half after getting it. Started playing around and realized a couple of things. 1. I don't know how to hold a brush. I think it will just take some practice, I've read every thing I have found, studied the pictures, and watched the video. And now have an idea after reviewing all that. 2. I don't know how to clean the brush. How much mineral spirits should it take? Technique?, etc.? Any and all viewpoints/techniques welcome.
I posted a thread here, titled "How to hold a Pinstriping brush for fun and profit". It may be helpfull, just have to look for it.
Awesome, I have read most of that post somewhere, a seperate website or something? I guess I skiped over the brush cleaning tips along with all the fanfare if I read it in the post when I did the search. Yep, the video's*****, and the books aren't much better. Many thanks to all who contributed knowledge to the post.
Deoends on the videos you're getting. I found Ed Roth's videos to be really helpful for technique and design as well. Craig Fraser's video also has a lot of stuff on brush cleaning and maintenance, and also how to hold the brush. If you can ignore the whole DVD being a house of kolor commercial, it's pretty helpful as well.
Thanks for that link. I have a link to another BB but missed that one. An Ed Roth video sounds cool just cause its Ed Roth. I saw him in Missouri at one of R&C's big shows. What a character. I'll have to hunt those up.
