I seem to recall an article from the lates '50s/early 60's using candy colors, the translucent toner coats, on the discs.

Rod & Custom or some such rod book of the day. Not to my taste though, I prefer them in natural brushed aluminum.......

Thats a good question. The discs im running on my roadster where built by an old timer (Ben Yumori) in 1938 i have a total of seven with dimple clearance for the the rear hubs of a banjo rear end. Yumori name is here in this picture of the chopstick special II with Larry Shinoda. Notice the early disc on this roadster!

So i have a quick question, Everyone here talks of the moon discs but what about other companies, I bought a set of 15" alumin wheel covers at a swap meet a couple years ago and now getting around to putting them on my truck. The thing is they are Ansens. I have all the original mounting hardware and instructions. They are called Ansen Spun Ray Aluminum wheel covers. Anyone got any info on these? Instead of Moon stamped on them they have the Foot.
