Chopped50ford and I went off on another adventure for a new obsession....

I picked him up (after grinding on his 31's frame) and off went to Fresno. About middnight we pulled over to streach our legs and Chopped says "We're Nuts. It's 12:00 and we're in the middle of nowhere looking for old rusty parts"
About 1am we got a room crashed out till 7:00 and we're off to Rons place (sorry Ron I forgot your HAMB name) It's about 10am and about 95 deg and 70% humidity (sp?) So we sweat for about 3 hours looking at all the cool cars, parts, and getting some great info on better ideason how to go about the modified I'm going to build.... You can learn alot from the guy's who grew up with this stuff, and am thankful for the lesson.... So we load up 2 flathead motors that were used in the oil fields ,for pumps, run on natural gas. (insides look Very clean) a 31 rolling ch***y,23-25?tub, with great patchwork and other various parts, then down the road to Von Scotts place...

It's about 2pm and we're dead. I got a rear end tank and some juice brakes. Choppedd got a front end and more goodies but we're wipped out. Sorry Van Scott that we didn't stay and talk longer.

A few double doubles later and we're off.....

9:30 Saterday night we're cherry picking the motors outa my truck and getting the stuff devided up...

After all is said and done I pull into home at 1:30 Sunday morning....

Great road trip and some good buys... I cant wait to start busting bolts on the frame and gettin into the motors...

I'll get some picks up tonight....

2 things to rember for the next parts roadtrip Tiedowns and boots. We did all this in sandals....

Well worth the effort, sounds like. I think we've all done some of those long sleepless road trips to pick up rusty iron.

No correction, not sandals...they are sturdy leather like shoes...we had on rubber beach thongs...and not the type that goes up your *** crack either. (nip that one in the bud real quick) :)
