Wrapped my steering wheel with parachute cord i found down at the Army-Navy for 15 bucks tonight and mounted fuel pump..shot a few more pics for you guys..
I'd go with the Dodge shell, over the Ford or the tractor piece. True, you have a Ford V8 and a Ford frame, but if you want a true Dodge look, find a Dodge rad shell. The Ford car as a back-up, of course!
Patrick66 I Think i am holding out till i can afford a duece grill shell to change it..looked at everything and its the one i like the best so i will just run what i got for now shouldn't be long till the switch over. Hotrodjeep The Tires are N.O.S Denman super safety bias-ply 8.90-70-15 with zero miles and no burnouts ...yet...
I dig this hop-up man, it's full of unique parts. I noticed you ditched the early drum-style headlight buckets....you still got 'em?
Yes i had to change to a diffrent type Headlight..just got a great price on them and liked the look a bit more then drum style and sorry a friend already scooped them up.. As far as the tail lights they are old 1940 tractor- trailer markerlights. got real lucky on those at the boneyard..only two were left and not smashed. Thanks so much for the great questions and comments. As of now i am still working on her and making progress and looks to be close enough to make it to viva and maybe Lonestar round up for 2011. I will keep ya posted.
Moores auto salvage in Rapid City SD has a bunch of these old DB cars. I'll bet he can get you a grill. (and doors) Here's one I'm building.
