Well it's that time of year again. If you have never been you should definitely try and go. It's Vintage Kart Racing and show at Adams Kart Track in Riverside, Ca. Feb 2-4. Here you will see some fine examples of vintage go-karts racing and some really nice show karts ranging from the 50's to the 70's. Single engine to triple engine and some exotics. Last year a special guest was there and I had the honor to hang out with him it was Tom Medley aka Stroker McGurk. You can get more info on the VKA website. www.vkakarting.com. Here are some pics of me Racing last year. I hope to see some Hambers there. It's alot of fun.

Are they going to use the original track or the full track? Will have to get over for a look.

The track is on Market Street, north of the 60 freeway. We run the entire track, practice Thursday and Friday, "races" on Saturday. Usually over 100 vintage karts, lots of early karting celebrities (including Tom Medley). Its free to watch frm the grandstands, or you can buy a pitp*** and roam around the pits.

Yes, they will be running the full track. It's a great event, I have made the trip from Michigan to Riverside 4 times now for this event. 3 times to participate and once just to watch. If you can stop by, get a pit p***, walk around and ask lot's of questions ... vintage karters are a friendly bunch and love to talk about these early machines. Below are links to 6 HD quality videos I shot at the 2011 event and some 400 photos I shot....

Hundreds of photos I shot at this event

I'll be there! Haven't been to Adams for few years now. Time for a re-visit and vintage karts will be a bonus. I raced there on opening day in 1959.

    Jeff,

Thanks for all the photos - lots of memories for me there! I saws lots of Go Power wheels and a few manifolds as I skimmed your photos. I was with Go Power during the karting era. Gary Emmick, Bill and Ray Abrams drove for us; Neal Williams and I also drove, but not as well! Bill Fisher didn't go to the tracks often.

I'm too young to share some valuable memories about my go kart experience, but it was really nice to read such interesting insights about Adams Kart Track in Riverside. I'm sure gonna make a visit there, and enjoy karting on vintageatv for salego karts. This will be unforgetable experience.
