Inline chevy help needed

    Can anyone steer me to where I can get a new cam for a early 235, Turns out chevy made two types, (small journal and large ). Small I believe was only 53 to early 54 and thats what we need. Also needs to be hydraulic type. I think Crane cams will custom cut one but I bet its pricey. Thanks for any help. Ken

    Patricks chevrolet parts is a good vendor as well..

    small journal was '37-53, with a few early '54's as well. Measure to be sure.

    Clifford Performance
    Patrick's?
    Tom Langdon?

    These engines prefer solids to hydros. The hydros tend to bleed out and hammer at sustained higher rpms...

    Thanks guys, just talked with Patricks, very good guys. looks like a new big journal cam can be turned down for $140 total, not too bad. Also looks like the hydro lifters we have will be returned and swapped for solid ones. Ken
