The early steel bodied T's are one thing the Total Performance type T's are quite a different thing. I wouldn't mind a pre 1965 build style project here on the HAMB. Good luck with your build. Bob

I have one and post pics when it's relative to a thread. My T isn't traditional enough for the HAMB nazi's, so I limit it's exposure. Doesn't bother me, I just try to comply with the standards here.

I say post your pics and let us see what you got. If you want a T Buckets only site, try:
    tbucketeers.com

Nothing but buckets over there and no Nazi's.:D

Here's mine. Not HAMB compliant, but a lot of fun!

I'm amazed at how close a T-bucket and a Modified are. It's seems that a few things could be changed and you'd have either.

I'd say go for it. Late 70's style is coming back! Look at what has happened with the whole van craze. Maybe jag rear ends and Mags will be all the rage again in a few years! IRS and th350's aren't really my thing, but I'd say there's a place for your build. The tradition Nazis are just hipsters anyway, just the same as the 'bikers' who scoff at a guy riding rice.

I think buckets will always be HAMB friendly. They WERE the first hot rod material.

Buckets are a great way for someone who wants to get into hot rodding started, or they can be built by rodders with years of experience. Who among us (at least us older guys) didn't get our first exposure to hot rodding via Norms T on 77 SS Strip ?

If that statement was solid half the hot rods ever built would be not HAMB friendly. So please Rustyryder can we have an explanation?

Heres mine, i just painted the rims black & put the top on.It folds down & as side curtains.I Built it in 1998-99 & it has about 71 K miles on it.I built it dirt cheap, but every year the cost goes up from Winter "repairs" so now i'm about $5700 into it.
