Uhhh, to me looks like ancient spear, possibly from the deepest part of the wetlands in Carnoba, someone probably brought it back, after gettin a "wax job" But not sure ? Could also be a "koonibbler connector, for a furm-a - mentor" , but I never saw one chromed ! maybe tha' "koonibbler was chromed or stainless ?, an , they wanted it to match ! Where did you git IT ?, that might help ! Was it at a Plumbing Store ?, or, possibly a "Small Arms Outlet " that sells only wholesale ? Hope I've helped, Now back to waving at Cars in front of my House. Smoked-up, In tha' Great Smokey Mts of 10-E-C (It's Sunday afternoon, .......U no whar Your Wife IS ? )
Are those hash marks near the bottom of the photo on that stainless fender trim? May need a clearer photo. Is it straight or curved? I may not be able to help since there are folks here who don't think that I know what I am talking about.
Big Daddy's nailed it........... is it the drivers side or p***enger side though , believe me ................... they only fit one way Steve in Oz
Sorry guys for the lack of back ground on this. I stink at posting pics so my son stopped by and posted it for me. I just got home and am looking at it for the first time as well. A neighbor had it hanging in the rafters of his garage. It was there when he moved in so we figure about 30 yrs or so. Looks old but has no markings that I can find. He was pitching it so I now have it and thought someone may need it if we can figure out what it is off of. Let me see if I can do SOMETHING with the pic. Probaly just a front fender trim for some old T Bolt or factory light weight car. Nothing special.
Told my son the BG pump would get I.D.'d before anything else. Car guys all think alike. That pump made so much noise that we could hear it over the open headers at the track last night. Lasted just long enough for the finals though.
Might be front fender trim for a '55 Bel-Air. Could you take a couple more photos, one a close-up of the pointed end and one of the other end, so we could see the shape a little better? I've got lots of reference books that I could check.
It's a tape measure. I have a few. Did you see the guy who found a 200 year old penny in his transmission though?!?
