Well, i have been searching for a set of old 16 inch Hollywood Flipper Hubcaps made by National to have on my 1936 Roadster with wide five wheels. and i have found some but all of them looks different. now i have five of them but only three wide five, here´s the first 4 of them. I am intrested to buy a set (2) if anyone have...? this one is the one i like best.... and the artdeco style onebar looke to be wery unusual! i have two of this style onebar backside of the onebar and the previus owner.... who is JB Flynn??? the other artdecostyle hubcap one more number 4...a ruff one let´s see some other OLD flippers....no cheapy new ones
That first pair you have are killer, I have a few... The last pair fit '40-'48 wheels, the first three fit '36-'39 wide 5, and the fourth one has an odd backing but it matches the first one with the ripple count.
I'll have to agree as well - the first one pictured is pretty f'n deluxe. This is the first time I've ever seen a bar that was that detailed. There are definitely a lot of different styles that were made over the years and they're all set apart by their own attention to detail. They are the "go to" (IMO) wheel accessory when talking about early customs or even stockers that wanted a little something extra. Thanks for posting this. Here's some pics of mine. Thanks!
In 12 years on the HAMB I don't think I've ever responded to something just to say, "whoa...cool." But those caps with the extra detail on the bar are worth breaking that streak. I've never seen them before, but they are really cool.
