Looking into doing a chop on 52 styleline not sure on how much I am wanting to do yet. I am leaning towards a 4-7 but dont want the quarter glass to be tiny. I cant find any threads on doing a chop like that and keeping a decent size quarter glass. If you guys have any pics please post and let me know how much its chopped. Thanks
I figured that. That's why I was asking for pics because people say its that much when its not I wanted to.see some pictures
That is the exact look I am going for!!!! Do you have any more pics? and any of how you did the chop? again looks damn good!!
I agree.. take out 4-5.. i took 3 1/2 out of my 52 hardtop.. but the hardtops have a lower roof.. heres a pic of "Rusk"'s 51 coupe.. beautiful chop.. good luck!
Thank you...Well im not much for taking pics as I go...but i can tell you I used a lot from Dale Van Zant 1949 Chevy Coupe..Here is a link to what he did..He also has some videos on utube http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/11_.../49-51_chevy_custom_cars/dale-van-zant---dvz/...

So do you have a 52 styleline or 52 coupe???This is what i started with 51 styleline big side windows
Personally I think the sedan lends itself to a chop pretty nicely. Gotta watch the tiny back window on the coupes, Dont want it to look out of porportion when all is said and done. Although they can be done and still look great, just takes an eye for "the look". I would think 4 -5 on either model would be about the most I would take out. You dont want one of those over chopped clown car looking rides.
Have a look at this one. It's a chopped coupe like yours. http://jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=119338
