I'm up in the air on a lot of it...just got back to the shop with it a few minutes ago. I bought a '90 Corvette years ago that I regret...hate the car and the way it rides and I'll never get my money out of it so I decided to pull the drivetrain out of it to put into this...I want to change the suspension to a 5 lug with disc brakes up front at least but then I want to keep the rest old looking. I was thinking of doing up the exterior in old speed shop fashion and put my shop logo on it....I love how the inside of the back floor is wood with strips like the pickup beds. It still has the 6 cylinder in it which turns over but no plans to use it...not sure if there is a market for it as I hate to toss anything someone else can make use of.

Originally I had planned to get this Step Van but after sitting in it just didn't feel like it would be very comfortable to drive much and when I spotted the '49 I thought a Delivery would be better. I still like the Step Van because you just don't see them...but I already have WAY too many projects.

I would like to change this over to a 5 lug setup with front disc brakes just for better braking and open up my wheel choices. Wondering if anyone has any ideas or has done this. I'm typically a Ford guy so this is uncharted ground for me on this one.

I'm still trying to figure out what this was used for....originally Green and not sure if original but it had what appears to have been a bubble gum on top with multiple lights and the lights on the front fender have red lenses and it had a spotlight on the back. Wondering if it could have been an old army ambulance or something else but I just haven't been able to find any pictures of info.

Hmmm... Ok I don't know these ADs real well, but that looks bigger than I remember them being.....

Is it a 3/4 ton or something?

It's a 3800....it's actually a one ton from all I can gather. 8 Lug 17" wheels were on it. It is a long wheelbase...most I have ever seen have been a shorter wheelbase. This one measures at 137" hub to hub.
