Friends call me Squirrel, I'm active duty Air Force stationed in Shreveport LA. I purchased a 1960 Parkwood/Brookwood? wagon that was converted into a 2 door El Camino. It has a 78 Camaro sub-frame with a mild 350/700r-4. A fully functional electric 90sTahoe 60/40 bench seat, power steering, Jeep Cherokee Steering shaft A third gen Camaro gear box, vintage air, aluminum radiator, in cab adjustable rear air shocks Painless wiring kit, white face gauges, and it seats six. Well Two adults and four kids. We call it the Frankamino. My wife liked it so much she declared it hers, so I'm teaching her to work on it. First thing she wants to do is get rid of the 80s style slit extra cab and replace with a more factory looking one (I agree). We have been working on it for a few moths now to get it road worthy, it is a fun car to drive (or so I'm told). Most important is my wife hasn't stop smiling since the first day she got to drive it. She even dressed up for Halloween, who knew all I had to do was buy her a car?
Welcome to the board. Fellow Air Force member as well. Out of AZ. Nice ride. What your job if you don't mind me asking?
Welcome from Ga,sharp car but i cant get a song out of my head...these boot are made for walkin..Wonder why ? take care now.............YG
Nice to meet ya, I'd love to be stationed at Luke AFB. I'd rather not say what my AFSC is cause I'm paranoid like that, but they do not have my career field there. My wife loves your car, I told her no test drives LOL. I needed a truck so I bought a truck, just so happens it's a cl***ic. People look at me like I have Sh@t for brains when I use it. We bought this car to use it. Later that night we took it to the car show! 34 years is a good chunk of change to devote to our country, thanks for your service. You are a lucky man! LOL .. what can I say. She looks real good covered in grease too! LOL ... I heard that! No worries, I like it. Turns out I am a redneck and didn't know it? Both know it too! It's like driving down the street in a neon sign! I was stationed at Travis AFB (Vacaville) before I came here., I hope to have my cars that long, the Mrs/boots too To all who extended a warm welcome, thank you. Wow ya'll have some neat rides. Since I bought the 60 my wife has put in her fair share of elbow grease. Even sanded and resprayed the wheels. I think she broke two nails, but didn't bat an eye. To help boost the octane in those tanks here is what the wife looks like without boots!
LOL ... dang I need to learn to use the multi qoute! Once again, thank you all Now I know where they hid all the "not so politically correct people," damn and I was about to give up. I practically feel like family, it's good to be home! LMAO
