There's a number of HAMBers in NC... fairly spread out though. There's probably close to a dozen here in Raleigh, but that's about 2.5 hours from Charlotte. Cruising around Lake Norman with ******Knuckles sounds like your best bet. Switchblade327 is east of Charlotte in Anson County... probably less than an hour from downtown Charlotte. You should meet up so you can check out his flaked '53. He mentioned a large cruise night in Oakboro and one in Monroe, which are both in his area. As for the heat... it's the damn humidity that makes it so unbearable. You never really get used it it... you just kinda quit *****ing about it. Enjoy your visit. -murph
make sure you go eat at the penguin. charlotte can be a hit or miss place from week to week. i'm about 35 miles west in the hickory area. tues wednedays i work til really late and ain't to social. what got you here and for how long? i worked at a tattoo shop in charlotte for a while. usually head that way coupla times a month. i'll look around and see if i can find any happenings...ken....

Iam staying near the 485 and Providence road, in some crazy country club housing tract. it looks nice but where is the garage? fire flies are ****ing cool! and the housing is cheap, I can sell my pile back in los angeles and buy an estate here. what are the property taxes like? where is a junk yard around here?
