I went to Brizio's on lunch break today....all of them guys are nice- nobody with big egos or ****head at***udes like some of the big t.v. hotshots. They just let me go wander around deep into the shop no problem. And despite what some may have thought, Brizio's shop does kick out some amazing tradtional hotrods too.
there are picks of a black '32 roadster you'll see below....here are some details:
Firestone bias plys-good, Firestone "Balloon Wheels"?? say what?- dudes, these are two piece bent spoke adjustable wire wheels.....some wierd accessory wheels from the 30's I guess, but they are Bad ***-good for sure,
    friction shocks-good, juice brakes-good, orig..dash with nice old gauges-good,
Lincoln Zephyr steering wheel....SICK, Columbia two-speed rear axle...RAD,
'37 tailights-good, the bench seat was NICE...made out of some old style material, very cool. Definetely the baddest thing there in my opinion...the g***er is sick too- old lead and br*** filling all over the body....musta been an original g***er, the front clip was fibergl*** though :(
See all the bodies in the background of the pics?....Most all of them are Real old ford tin...only a couple of brookville jobs. Long story short, I was pitching a tent the whole time I was there....the place is CLEAN, full of CANS rods and future rods, cool old machine shop tools too, Nice guys...
    Good day- enjoy

Gotta take a helluva lot more pieces to make an adjustable spoke wire wheel?!

If you just mean that the outside rim flange comes off, they're Firestones

sorry dude, I just find it odd that instead of being spun out over the shop pics, you're concerned with my description and number of pieces to the wire wheel....lol....I'm just f-'n with you

  11. Awesome, thanks for sharing.

Brizio's shop is in So. San Fran, isn't it? How far is it from SFO? I travel to the Bay area some, would dig dropping by there sometime myself.

I was there last week and took a few shots, one of a super cool woodie and the other was my dad's 4 door that he sold to a guy (that is now having Brizio build a car for him) plus two roadsters..

    hey john, beer yes!

iam actually heading up this friday to collect some of tools/books from my house in pacifica... if you have some time we should get a couple beers :)

you ever stop by gotelli's speed shop? go in there and see if the old man still sits around and BS's about the good old days... his kids run the show and are cool people.

theres also reggie jacksons high performance (in between K-119 tools and steves camero's)... run by the Gionolli's. really cool stuff in that shop.

Thanks for the post -- I've always suspected that Brizio's is an upfront, decent kind of place. They're about 2,000 miles too far away for me, but it's nice to know good shops exist nowadays. As a sidethought, has anybody done a financial study on how much "American Rodder" has hurt Boyd's annual gross revenue? Would any gold chainer go there anymore to have his car ridiculed on national TV by a pack of mouth-breathing malcontents?

Unfortunately, "Terrible Ted" died in 2000. The shop is still there, though.

Brizios is just about 2 miles north of the SFO airport.

If you come out of the rental car area heading towards the freeway, you go over the freeway to El Camino, go north (right) past the mall to the next stop light (At the See's candy store), Go right, I think its the 4 light on the left side, just over the RR tracks. everyone is super nice (they haven't kicked my *** out yet and I have been going on every other week for the past 2 months when out there on business. Just ask before going in back (give the respect) and do not go in the back fab area (unless someone saids its Ok). about one out of every 6 trips they tell me to go back there to check something out (like my dad's old sedan). I usually get my car mags there to read on the flight home (so I do not feel like a free loader)...
