Well after 25 yrs of wanting one since riding in one a friend of my dad had, I finally have one. Trade a OT truck for it. There are a few things I want to change, like the single pot master cylinder, redo the exhaust and I'm not wild about the gas tank. And clean the **** out of it and paint the motor and other bits. But the car runs, drives and rides great. I am chacing down a wobble/shimmy when you hit the brakes. I was thinking about puting 28-29 fenders on it since its on a model A frame, with a fold down top and 32 style tank. But I dont know if the fenders and tank would look to streetroddish. The seats are starting to grow on me.
That one has a lot of potential once a few things are cleaned up on it. And it looks like it will be a hell of a lot of fun to cruise in.
Kool ride. I thought about an A frame and fenders under my 26 touring too. I remember looking at a 26 Roadster set up that way. I would jus drive yours and do the lil things.
Cool - drive as is, and improve stuff to make the ride more enjoyable. when you find a super deal, or loaner, set of fenders get those, etc to try out.
yes, I can see how the seats with a little watering could "grow" on you. sweet ride, as said earlier clean up a bit and ENJOY
I've always liked the looks of 26-27 T's. There is one here on the HAMB with 28-29 fenders, they look good, fitting the rears will take some time. Post more photos, good luck with the project. Bob
I'd change out the couches for a nice naugahyde look and the boat headers for ramhorns too...Yes, maybe relocate the tank and get rid of the steamer trunk would also help. ZVery cool car with a ton of potential though! I'd love to have it....
The trunk will more than likely stay, it fits the contour of the body but I don't like how it's mounted. That big license plate light has the lenses in it but it's not wired up. And I ordered the right addapters for the wheels today and adjusted the toe out some and the wobble under braking got a little better. Hopefully the addapters will get the rest out.
