So a couple of HAMBers got together with CarTech and made a book. Both Jospeh Alig and Spike Kilmer have been working on "East Vs. West" for a couple of years now. In fact, they even gave me a couple of pages... Which is totally cool, but what I real...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
Mine showed up the other day. Good job, guys. I did notice one problem with the book, though. It needs more pages. Thanks for all the work that went into a project like this. Everybody should add this to their library.
Got mine a couple of weeks ago. The HAMBANDY dedication was classy. Made you proud to be associated with the authors and the cars even in a small way. The guys did real good. Two Thumbs Up !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Received mine also and yes very nice job on the book Spike and Joe....I say everyone here should buy one and support the brotherhood.
Damn fellas..I feel like I made the big time now...Happy that you like it Ryan. it aint perfect, but its about time this book was written...and we only scratched the surface. Thanks again for the support. Spike

Mine finally shoed up from Amazon.. Been reading it at lunch.. I am bringing it to the Showdown for an autograph. Great Book guys, I'm proud to know you.
This is a worthwhile book with LOTS of information in it. I'm personally more interested in the customs, but the hot rod and dragster sections were full of neat old photos and were entertaining on their own. It was also cool that the authors spotlighted custom car people like Kustoms Illustrated Magazine's Luke Karosi, photo guru and historian Rik Hoving, and customizer/painter Alex Gambino. In other words, this book is about the people as well as the cars. There are other old original East/West custom cars and hot rods out there, and hopefully this book will sell well and they could be included in a second volume. Nice job!
