barn find 38 chev

    ...just pulled this 38 coupe out of a barn where it has sat the last 40 years.
    I've known about it for 30 years but never laid eyes on it til a week ago. It was never for sale; I called the guy a week ago and he says he'd sell it; it's in pretty good condition other than a rusty tailpan and the left rear fender.

    That's a good'un. Stock body is cool and looks good m***aged too. Do you have plans for it yet?

    Cool...that's what my '37 was started out to be...but it took a little turn along the way!!:D

    Oh my....I like that a lot.....
    When I was 14 years old a friend and I wanted to buy one like that...and the price was $35 dollars .....:eek:
    Our folks made us flip a coin for it instead of going in together....he won.... :(

    ...yeah, you're right, a taildragger 38 coupe would be cool and different; I kinda like that idea.

    Nice find! I know where there's a '36 Chevy coupe that was used as a rural mail delivery vehicle by the owner's Dad. He's sentimental about it but it sure is cool. Maybe one day he'll turn it loose. At least it's in a barn out of the weather... it's been said before; it's all about right place, right time. Congrats on being persistent and seizing the right time on this one!!
