I'll have to take a look at my neighbors stocker to be sure, but I think that the split rivits in the kit pierce the webbing and push through the holes in the cowl and get split underneath to hold. It has been forever since I have done one though.

You know, when I wrote that a bit ago, I wrote from memory... Dumb! My '27 is set up the way I described. I looked at my '30 patiently waiting it's turn in the back yard and I was wrong. On my '30, the last little bits of original hood lacing are out on the narrow 1" wide edge at the front most edge of the cowl. They have two rivets that hold it at the bottom much like I described, then one more each side just below where the hood side meets the top. I dont have any remnants over the top of the cowl, but I see holes on either side of the center hinge bracket, and above the hood top/side panel break. Hope that's a little less confusing.

This is the best pic I can come up with. this is on my 31 roadster stock body, I havent dealt with a b-ville.
There are little slots at the bottom of the lip that the riveted hook clips into, then there are three places for small machine screws (one center top, one on each top side)
New lacing has stretch to it so you have to compensate for that.
I left the top center undone.
lay the lacing centered over the entire lip. mark and install one side top. pull snug to the other side(not too tight) and install.
now pull the lower down and eyeball mark where the hook will go into the top slot. move up about 3/16" and install. flatten hook, pull real tight, stick through the slot.with a pair of good pliers you can squeeze the hook closed...
Now the top center can be pushed down and screwed in...
its eyeball luck and knowing how much it will stretch that will determine your outcome.
    Goodluck!

like I said, I dont know what the brookville bodies look like compared to the stock ones in that area.
