Hello all. I'm not new to the HAMB but new to posting much of anything. I have a 1957 Diamond T that I am messing with. I'm debating how far to go with it. I wasn't going to replace the floor pans but I now have decided to remove the cab as part of the project so I may as well. They are still there, but to the point where replacing them wouldn't hurt. I could just patch them in on my own, but replacement panels would be much nicer.

Where would I find such an item? I know DT, as well as others, used International cabs all through the 50's this body style. I'd imagine several trucks had the same cab, making it (hopefully) pretty easy to come by. While I'm at it I could use a windshield too (again I assume not uncommon). My fenders are pretty bad but repairable. Being that the DT fenders are pretty DT specific, I assume those won't be too redily available.

There's a pic below of the inside of the cab, and the truck is mmy avatar pic. It's progressed since. Many of you have probably seen it in the classifieds. As of now the front clip is off, axles are out. I now plan to pull the cab/motor/trans and get the frame blasted to start fresh. The structure is surprisingly solid. Plan is to save the original patina and do a bagged/slammed bobtail semi with a cummins. I'll be using complete axles from a 1999 GMC 3500HD. The truck is still for sale during the project.

    Thanks in advance!

If the windshield is the same as International--and it appears to be the "Comfo-Vision" cab that IH used from the '50 L-series thru about the '68 R-series--the NAGS number is DW142. Bob's Classic Auto Glass [ http://bobsclassicautoglass.com/ ] should be able to provide it, if your local auto glass shop can't get one.

As far as patch panels for these cabs...nobody sells 'em, so generally you have to make your own.

I haven't seen any floor pans available for them. Like Eugene said it's looking like you'll be needing to fab some.
