Books, sometimes you just cannot beat them. The internet is great for information, but a lot of information is opinion, repeated bs or just plain wrong. A friend of mine was recently having a problem with SBF rocker arm geometry and he gave me a call. I consider myself a Ford guy, so I took what I knew and did a little research online to try to find an answer for him. I found several forums with different answers and I wasn't comfortable with all the different answers. I then remembered a book written by Bob Mannel on the small block Ford which I had bought several years ago. Right there in black and white was the answer with fantastic photographs that went along with the information I needed. How many of you all still use books instead of the Internet?
Can't beat books for info and pics. When you grew up learning from books it just seems natural to keep on using them. Computers are nice but give me a book anytime.
Books are the best. Internet info is too spread out and sometime it takes longer. BUT anytime I google info I do end up on the HAMB.
For some strange reason I can remember things that are in books or magazines, and to top it off find the info without any filing system. Most of us here on the HAMB are historians and finding the info to p*** along to others is part of the reason of being here.
