I don't recall the exact quote, but it was my favorite and it goes something like this Guy:If I could just find a light weight body,to drop a big hemi engine in... Old Man:Hows about a pre war Willys,Sets up in the air like a cutter through ice post yours or photos from the flick, aka "REBEL OF THE ROAD"
He had more hair on Bonanza..... Guess we all did back then! I love that movie and everytime i watch it that willys is missing or adding something. "GO FAST?"
"If it breaks with a 4 barrel, go dual quads. If that blows up, inject it. You gotta fix it faster." "Until what?" "Until you get to an automatic...which is boring."
"It MOVED!" I say that everytime I walk in the garage and something is different with the old mans Willy's project..."It MOVED!"
Every time I watch this and they open the doors to that shed and that Willys is sitting in there I get goose bumps.
I like it when he says you ain't got enough car to get by me paintjob. Other than that I like the beginning, the end and the parts in between. It brings back memories of when I was a kid. By this time my dad had already sold his Willys Coupe and regretted it. We were looking for another one and I had heard all of the stories about his old car. It's one thing to here your dad tell stories about his old car when you are a little kid but when you see one in a movie it really blows your mind. Here is a picture of my dad with his coupe in the 60s.
Great movie. Cannon ball is cool. When I bought my coupe my brother went out and bought a 39 study pickup. That's cool Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Not really a quote (a blooper, actually), but I've always wondered if Cannonball got hurt when he fell out of the back of the truck as they made their getaway from stealing Sonny Munn's slicks. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Yep my favorite as well. I was hearin' the highlighted part of that quote long before the movie. Usually a blower was thrown in there some where.
