Years ago, I built custom harleys, nothing was better for the soul than a good ride down a side road where the green gr*** and cows were, peaceful as hell, I always came back with a clear head. For a variety of reasons, I started to build cars, one being the instant stardom of new style bikers, seemed I wasn't in vogue cause I didn't wear a do rag, hang out at the local hang out or wear the appropriate jewelry. Cycling became just too cool for me and I didn't fit, took up cars. Turns out they're cheaper to build as well. I build good solid hot rods, made for miles, got a good name with those that count, my own 36 ford pickup got lotsa miles, its been a very fulfilling hobby. I share what I know with others, I get some satisfaction seeing broad smiles on happy faces behind the wheel of something they've built with some guidance. More importantly, I still love that drive down the country road that still makes me feel very fortunate to be in a hot rod doing something I love, and yes it still clears my head. Same for you?
Nope, not my intro, been around, I'm an older guy, don't know how to post pics, barely get around the net easily. See me at www.trolls.quack.net
Welcome to the *****House.....hahahahah....just kidding, sorta...but seriously - Pictures talk, and stories walk.
Yep, its mine, now to figure out how to post. I don't do my webpage, the friend I built the 36 chev for does all my web work.
Yep, it's the same for me. Everyone ask me "do you really like to drive old cars?" What a stupid question, Why would I buy them if I didn't like to drive them? I don't understand why people need pics on every post either. The guy was simply asking a question and next thing you know everyone wants pics? And last but not least, it would not be an intro with 53 post! Okay, I'm off the soapbox.............somehow I feel better now
Here's how I post pictures, nothing to it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...discussionid=18102&gmid=327154#gmessage327154
