I've done a search on a rust prohibitor but can't seem to find it. Can anybody tell me what it is. And I'm not thinking WD-40. I think Cole used it on his 36.
    Thanks -stick

    Long term storage?

LPS-3. Goes on oily and wet. Dries to a yellowish waxy coating and washes off with mild solvents. Great stuff if you can find it. Aerosols, quarts and gallon jugs.

if you use a 2 to 1 mix of phosphoric acid and water, wipe it on the metal and then wipe the excess off in about 10 minutes, it will give a protective layer that will stop surface rust providing it doesn't get wet. phosphoric acid is not a super nasty acid but still wear gloves.

Zero Rust Prep Step. Goes over bare metal and lasts up to 6 months outside. Can be recoated.
Can be painted over with no special prep. Just a clean surface.

    Damn near idiot proof.
