'35 ford wire wheels

Where are all of these wheels coming from? There are 3 sets listed on the HAMB cl***ified just today. Since I joined I have seen thousands listed on the HAMB. There must be a lot of '35 Fords out there without their original wheels.

 

The reason there are so many '35 wheels is because "back in the day" it was cheaper to buy a new set of 16" wheels and tires than to buy new tires for your 17", 18" 19" or 21" Ford wheels

...Pluss you add in the Motor Wheel and Kelsey Hayes versions that frequently get mis labled as '35 wires, and that adds a bunch more.

 

I find them everywhere it seems.

I went to a farm that only had tons of '50s stuff and complete '50s cars, but laying right in the gr***, next to the driveway....

 

I have 2 or 3 full sets kicking around in the barn.
