Hey sorry I used the search function but couldn't find anything. I am wanting to build a roadster but I saw a closed cab cowl for sale and was wondering what the differences are between the two styles.

Is it a big job taking a closed car cowl and making a roadster cowl out of it? Are they drastically different?

the difference is in the section where the windshield mounts / dash area. someone else will chime in with more but thats to get the ball rolling.

The only thing the same is the firewall and gas tank.

Even the firewalls differ as the late ones have a dent for the later gas shut off. The hinge locations and style differ. You whould be looking at a ton of work to make a closed cowl fit a Roadster. However, starting with a firewall and the short subframe/toe board you could buy all the Roadster parts from Brookville and assemble one, costly, but doable. Bob:)
