Anyone going to the 500?

If so, I'll be at the track Saturday as well as race day.
If you see a short guy with a long gray beard and pony tail wearing some type of Foyt hat - odds are it's me!
Just yell "Hey Jack!", love to meet any one here who happens to be there.

 

One day I'll make it there. It is absolutely on my real-life bucket list.

 

I'll watch it on TV, it is an American tradition, but it sure isn't the race it once was. Cought some qualifing coverage, cars look different this year, better looking from what I could see. AJ in an OFFY, those were the days! Bob

Been a Supertex fan for a looong time.
I remember my Dad saying "That kid Foyt's one tough SOB.He's gonna win the 500 one day."
When your Dad says something like that you figure "That kid Foyt" might just be the guy you want to root for...

 

Will never forget the time in the 500 he came into the pits, waving and gesturing to his crew about some issue. They were all kinda just standing around, didn't really understand what Foyt was trying to express. He unbuckles, climbs out, goes to the tool box, grabs a wrench and starts adjusting something on the car. Gets back in, straps in and goes back out..........Classic Foyt!
