We are heading out tonight. We plan to be in the line up on Early Friday.Gates open at 2.
We are standing in line and once the gates open its like that game show at one of the grocery stores where you try to beat the clock to get as much stuff as you can into your cart within a certain amount of time.

Bumping to the top to see if there are any others going to the Coastal Swap Meet!

I'm considering it, but I spent most of my dough at the Monroe swap last weekend. Of course with the ferry prices, living on this island is harder to get off of then Alcatraz.

I've never been to the Coastal swap meet before. Is there a good variety of stuff for a guy that's not looking for 32 Ford parts or small block Chevy?

Hey jaymann hubs was at the Munro Swap meet too. He scored ME some fenders and a rad for my 40 FD PKUP:D:D..I couldn't go with him as I was selling my wares at our local farmers market, but I plan to be at the Abbotsford Swap meet for sure..;) I hope you scored lots of great deals at Munro!

I do know that there is a wide variety of parts...we have had success in finding things that we needed there. Hubs said its the best Swap that they have in BC, that he's been too!

I hope you can make it! I want to go to the Island but the fees are expensive!
They should give a price break to the people who live there, IMO!

I'm really tempted. BC Ferries just announced a sale starting on Friday. It would still cost over $100 round trip for wifey and I (which is better than regular price of about $180 round trip!)
There's a swap in Parksville coming up on June 10th which is ok,I'm usually in and out of there in an hour.
The big one not to miss on the island is Victoria June 24. I always find great deals there.
I bought the owner's manual for my '56 Olds there for 25 cents last year!
Usually I end up leaving there with parts for vehicles I don't even own! Can't pass up a deal.

Well that is PERFECT the sale on the Ferries, that is a bonus for sure. ;)
I know what you mean on other parts, Hubs has a collection of stuff he needs to gather and sell at a SWAP MEET one day:D

Thanks for the heads up on the two swaps...Can you believe it I have lived in BC since 1969 and have never been to Victoria!!!! I have been to Courtneay when I was around 17. It was the first time I drove and did a road trip in my VW. Everytime a big truck would pass me by I would almost be blown off the road...That was some trip!!!!!

I hope you and you wifey can make the trip and check it out!

I always enjoy attending the swap meet here in Victoria at the Saanich Fairgrounds every year. Lots of parts and cars to check out.

Ahhh yes, the islanders..... such a funny bunch. Coming off the rock for their once a year adventure. ;) And then there are those of us from the frozen tundra to the north who travel 9 hours south to attend the same swap. But alas, it's not in the cards for this year. I was there last year though. Good swap, good people.:D

Well we are home. Hubs was at the swap meet on Friday, he had fun chatting and searching for parts. He did not purchase a single thing though but was given a few parts..
I was with my MIL who was having stuff done at hospital. I did manage to make it to Saturdays swap meet and I scored some parts for my 40..it was a good day we were tired and happy with all our purchases. I did get to meet one H.A.M.B. member his name was boyd.
