I am trying to find o/s of the web local or other clubs featuring the tri-five era. People i can talk to to help me on my road to finishing this 55 2dr sedan.Anybody with anything! is a great help. thank for what you can share with me on this? bob
I use to be a member of Classic Chevys, which celebrated '55-'57 Chevys. I quit because no one drove their cars. Anyway, they have chapters all over.
Just a buncha Rich boys gettin together with their hawaiian shirts, khaki shorts, lawn chairs and over restored, rag doll infested tri-five Chevys..
B.S. ^^^^. Worthless contribution. PM me if I can help, or Cliff"s Classic Chevrolet, Gresham/Portland, Oregon can and will answer all of your tech questions.
Post your questions on here or feel free to pm me with questions. I have sources for parts and have removed and replaced every single part on 55-57 Chevys several times over.
trifive.com is good site for questions helped me quite a bit. as far as people getting together and hanging out not sure on that one.
Well i see theres some who like 55s.and some who just hate people [hawiian shirts, lawn chairs etc]in general, You get those types in all car cultures. street rods !and all. not so much kustom kar guys ,as which i am one. I started a hot rod club 36 years ago in michigan. Its still going strong and i'm not.It was a worthy venture for me. It took the first 5 years to get rid of the complainers and the people who didn't want to work. Now i grow tired of the club, but she still enjoys the registrtion of kars each spring for our 500 kar annual show. Back to my question; . 1]I have heard that very thing "not hanging around together [David h] " 2]"Chevy 55 "!!Hows the best way to get in touch with you? 3] Thank you all "mostly" !-------To those that don't like 55 people or clubs, thats your perogative, But.....don't be to ornery about them and the things you don't care for. it just shortens your life, and they win.IN BEING SO NEGATIVE. And thank you for those who genuinely helped me. bob . have a good day
Cant ask for much more than that! I sort of got the impression he was looking for someone local that he could look at their cars and ask questions on the spot. Good Luck!
if you're in the area come join us, our Tri Five club does it all and takes all, it's all good as long as it's Tri Five Chevy! you can wear hawaiian shirts, t shirts, no shirt, dont matter, and we park and show them, drive them all over, race them and work on them together ... over 180 families make up the group at www.DallasClassicChevy.com clubs can be good, (did you know the HAMB is a club?)
