Hi, Does anyone know of a fix or replacement( maybe another GM year ***embily) for the crank ***embily for the vent windows on a 1934 chevy master. I have two that the the part that holds the window are snaped off from a stuck window or something?? They appear to be a pot metal or some kind of cast. Can they be welded? Does anyone make a replacment for them?? Any help would be appriciated.... Thanks guys Michael:)

Those broken shafts are diecast aluminum/zinc alloy, not repairable. May be the same for the next few years?

I have a '35 Chevy Standard. They are essentially the same car. I have the same problem with both of my vent windows. If you have the pieces, you can try to JB Weld them back together, and then run a bolt thru the hole in the middle (it is threaded on one side), or put a small hose clamp around the whole deal. I have lots of extra frames and misc parts for those mechanisms, but have yet to find one with the ears intact. Another brilliant design that can't withstand 80 years of use!
