12v chevy generator grease ports

    i have a rebuilt 12v chevy generator charging good. my question is the grease ports to the bearings look dry, should i grease them with bearing grease or do you use something else?

    They just need a few drops of oil every now and then. I use 30wt

    i have only seen oil cups which i put a couple drops of oil in. can you post pictures of the grease ports?

    real hard to post picks for me, but thay are cups more then ports.

    The common maintenance procedure was to use a few drops from a dipstick when you changed your oil. When you checked the level after a fresh oil change. Use the stick to add a few drops. It doesn't take much. Over oiling can cause a bigger problem than forgetting to oil. If you are lucky enough to have an early distributor, with the oil cups, then the same procedure applies.
