Nice 34 Ford

I saw this car at a weekend car show and couldn't resist sharing the pictures. the owner said it was painted by Gene Winfield. It was perfect!

The right shade of purple on a hot rod is one of the greatest colors ever IMO - ask me how I know....

 

Is the paint fading from light to dark or is it just the picture? Nice car I'd prefer a solid color.

 

The color fades from darker on the bottom to lighter on top.

^^^Because I've got a purple hot rod, had tons of people ask me about the color wanting to paint their car the same color and because it is a timeless crossover on the threshold between hot rod and custom - all IMO of course. Besides the Joe Nitti roadster is purple and Too Tall Ganahl painted his purple, Scrape is purple and what about the Purple People Eater? Yep, purple is kool....

 

like the coupe looks good in purple
but
it would look better with fenders dont care much for cars built after 32 without fenders

 

I think the car looks great with no fenders but that's just my opinion. Now that said, rock chips are going to be a problem on that beautiful paint!
