i drug home a 61 econoline today. i've wanted one for the longest time and a buddy found one on craigslist. it needs alot of work but the body was what i bought it for. i have a 302 and an AOD i'd like to slip in it. i know lots of folks have done this swap before but i'd like to know more about it. let me see what y'all have! i'd like to know about mounts, headers, will the stock dog house work, any setback, cooling and such. it looks like it'd be fairly simple and straightforward even with the minimalistic fab skills that i have. i'd just like some input and see some examples. thanks y'all. i'll post some pics soon. it was too dark to take any when i got home today.

i know the guy at blue oval who makes the crossmember for your 302 to fit, and i've made the aod crossmember for mine. if you would like his number, let me know. thats the first step.i think he still has some headers for these vans.
