I am trying to source a gold carpet to compliment the colour of the roadster. In Australia it is impossible.I have even looked at house carpet
(which I used successfully in the Hudson) but nothing close.
It is only a small amount, floor in cabin of a channelled 32 roadster and some for the trunk.
Here are shots from another post of the car colour.

I had gold/tan in my 23 and it was a huge mistake. I couldn't keep it clean and it showed every footprint. They guy who bought the car from me changed to black and it was something I was going to do if I kept the car. Just thought I should mention that.

I think black carpet with the little fleck sparkles in it would compliment the color better by contrasting it. Do you know what kind of carpet I'm talking about?

    Its like this.....

I got old style loop carpet from Auto Custom Carpets, Inc. The gold I chose is #20 and item number is 16013. At the time (2010) it was about $30/yard. Their service was great and I'm happy with the color. I had enough left over to make a pair of floor mats so the actual carpet is protected. Here's a link: www.accmats.com They also ship worldwide. Hope that helps ya.

It's usually labeled as "trinidad" carpet 1951Streamliner . It's getting hard to find.

Firstly thanks for all the responses.I know that I could have problems keeping it clean and I did think about black also.I think it will clash too much with the white trim. The carpet colour in the photo here complements the trim colour.

This reply and my visit to the trimmer started me thinking about a "shiny"
black pile with the sparkle or maybe a gold thread in the black carpet.

I am checking with some US suppliers now and hope for some results.

I bought some black with gold thread trinidad carpet a few years back. I like the look. Good luck finding it.

I am about to finish the upholstery in my pickup (gold) with white seat. I have been trying to get the trinidad carpet either with the gold and/or silver fleck. Really hard to get and am yet to find some. I am just going to settle on plain black I think.

Let us know if you find some.

Looks like I have found a source for the Trinidad black with gold thread.
I haven't actually seen it and have asked for a pic to make sure it is what I want.
Anyone else have a photo?I think it will look good with the gold car colour and will be more serviceable than a straight gold carpet.

Muzz I will let you know either here or by PM on where you can get it.
