I would like to enlist the services of pinstripers;sign artists;and airbrushers in a project I am about to start. I am doing a tribute to all automotive related artists who have p***ed away and I need some info on them. All I need is their full name(and handle if they had one),their date of birth and their date of p***ing. You may post that info here or if you would prefer send me a PM or an e-mail at: caption55@yahoo.com This is really important to me so any ***istance would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely Ray el Vago Smith aka Safariknut
Well;one of two things could happen: 1)It will NEVER be finished. 2)When I p*** on,maybe the person who gets my car will continue it. To explain a little bit: I started this the other day on the side of my car(see enclosed pictures).I overpainted part of the design that was already on there to resemble a unrolling scroll. The names I started with are the most recent to p***.The car has tributes to various artists all over it but I want to put all the names together to make it more easily read. I am also contemplating how best to do a panel for display at various charity auctions. This again will be an ongoing panel.
man this is great Alan “Gormo” Norman from RIVERSIDE CA he p***ed on the 10th of July 2010 he was a great pinstriper my brother got most of this paint two months ago from are paint shot we get all our stuff to pinstrip here is some info on him\ http://www.showandgo.org/gormo.htm
One of the problems you will have is that many stripers have the ''Von'' names and no one knows their real name. The thought is a great one and a tribute to talent.
Thanks Bear;this is exactly what I'm looking for.I'll Google his name and see if I can get his d.o.b. too. I realize that this is kind of an impossible task but I would like to do***ent as many as possible. The panel I have in mind will hopefully be in use during the next panel jam season.
Tom Galli just p***ed away a few weeks ago. He and his father Frank are quite well known in this area (Macomb County Mi.) http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/ma...?n=thomas-a-galli-tom&pid=157640739&fhid=2619
Thanks to those who responded to my plea.I've added several more to the roster on the car. My friend and fellow striper Moose are working out the details of the display panel. We are going to get a piece of sheet aluminum about 18-24" wide and about 10 feet long as a starting point. We' ll roll the ends to simulate a scroll and then color it the shade of parchment. The names will be lettered on with(hopefully)birth and p***ing dates.I have a special stand that will serve to support it when on display. Will post pics when it is completed.
