rear view mirror in a chopped truck

My 4" chopped 65 F100 has no rear view mirror. If I put a regular mirror on the windshield, it has to be so low that it is in my vision. I thought about putting it on the dash, like some 40's cars were, but it seems a little unatural and doesn't give a very good view, but is my first choice as of now. Somewhere I have a clamp on door mirror off a 32 coupe, but the view is pretty much left side only. I don't really want side mirrors.

Any ideas?

Chryslers of the 60's had some large mirrors that mounted on the dash, might find one on Ebay?

 

I like to chop the mirror too! 2X4 mirror is plenty to keep tabs on the cop on your rear bumper. convex side mirrors are best for lane changes
