At 70 years old I just bought a '56 Olds 2 dr sedan w/stick. I am taking it apart. Every nut and bolt and repainting, replating, refurbishing or replacing every part on the car. It has a 1960 394, I was told. Could be a 371. Engine is being rebuilt by Lorry Azavedo w/ roller cam and, perhaps, aluminum heads and dual quads. We are replacing the 3 speed with a tremac 5 speed, adding a posi and hope to get it on the road before we loose our drivers licenses. This seems a good place to get answers or help when we run into problems. Stay in touch

Welcome to the group. You must be crazy to start a project at that ungodly age. Ooops forgot. I'm 73 and still playing with my toys. Don't worry about a license. I heard I out of four don't have license and insurance anyway. Have fun sonny!
