In Indiana you can keep ***les they just write void in big letters, I've done it before, I've got the ***le from my A from 1960.

 

It looks similar, I'll take a closer look in the morning

 

Thanks for all the replies, I'm excited.

Today she drove and stopped under her own power. It's got a 305 350, mustang 2 front end and disc brakes in the front. The brakes were locked up from sitting and the battery was dead so it wasn't major work.

Next on the list I'm going to pull the chevy dash and put in a 46-48 ford dash in it with new gauges run all the wires and hook up the headlights and taillights. I'll keep you guys posted.

You are one lucky man, or should I say you have one lucky woman. 39-40 Mercs are my all-time favorite Custom. When the chop is just right, they are a beautiful thing to behold. Yours is chopped just right.

'40 Merc is near the top of my all time want list. That coupe is *****in. I would die happy owning a '40 4 door convert!
