Starting a 1951 Chevy build. Ive had it for about a month and I currently have it off the frame. Got a wild hair a few nights ago and built a car dolly. Took the body off the frame this weekend. I have a Gambino taildragger notch kit that Im gonna install this week, a ultralow fatman that will be going in up front as soon as it gets here, got some wheels and BFG silvertowns from coker. I will post pics as I make Progress. [IMG][/IMG]

I want the wagon in the avator.. I had a 53 wagon with the FatMan ultralow set up and dropped spindles.. I am building a 51 hardtop right now, will be watching as I plan to do a MII next winter. (this winter was a motor/trans/ rear swap and 12v upgrade)

  7. please post pics of the notch kit and the front end. Thinking about doing this to my 49, so I'm interested in seeing this project unfold.

Cool build. Good to see that more and more of the previously ignored old iron is being brought back to life.

Sorry for the bad pic. This is the Dolly I built a few nights ago. Got the plans from one of the members here wish I could give him credit, but cant remember where I found it. Thanks anyway. Built it with 2"x2" - 3/16 Tubing for the long sections and 2 1/2"x 2 1/2" 11ga for the adjustable orange areas. Worked Great. Included Pics seperating the body from the frame

Started working on the rear notch last night. Got the kit from Gambino Customs, all of the parts look great. Welded the outside of the notch. Still trying to figure out axle placement. The owner before me had installed a s10 rearend with blocks. The axle looked two far forward with the body on the car. It has stock springs and the everything is in orignal place except the axle.

Ok finally got some time to post pictures. I have worked on it for a few hours the past nights. Really suprised at the progress I have made. I havent mentioned the fact that this is the first time I have a frontend install. The lower control arms are backordered and I have to fab some shorter Cups for the bags. Check it out.
