The latest find (for me, anyway)...a 1946 Ford that has been sitting since 1972. All there, pretty solid, don't know about the Flathead yet, but it's in there. Like the guy said: "I drove it in here in 1972, and it hasn't moved since" Hoo boy, here we go. Taking it home Friday...Still working on the 31 Model A 5 Window Coupe in the garage since 1972...Wish me luck!
Looks real solid! Maybe let the cylinders sit awhile with a little mystery oil and you can get the flatty turning.
Got a 46 and 48 and there the best riding hotrods out there. I drive my 46 every day and always get the thumbs up.You will be surprised at how comfortable they are and how much room is inside.Good luck on the build
Ok, so we picked it up today. The old girl is pretty solid. First time she has moved from the backyard she's been hiding in in 40 years. Been looking at a lot of threads here on the HAMB about these cars, this will be a fun build. Thinking a taildragger with a nice chop...
Man, I really like the way these cars look chopped. Love these shots from the "Tale of three chops" thread...Thinking this is the way to go with this car.
Using the floor jack outside makes me chuckle. When I was young and we found a projecct like that we would borrow a bumper jack and of course the car would fall over 3 or 4 times. Just made me remember the good times. Mike
