I bought Kelly Navagators (thin whites) a while back in a similar size. Not a bad tire. Prob is there are lots of 14's but that aspect ratio is going to be an issue. Small truck tires are a consideration if you can go full aspect. like 80's Ford Ranger. That's what came on my Fairlane.
Tire Rack, Fire Stone, Goodyear.... and the list continues. I have 14s on the front of my truck, and am probably gonna change them to 15's mostly cuz of price then size...
Here are some sizes available from tire rack to give you some ideas of whats out there. Click on the size then click on specs to see how tall etc. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/sizes/results.jsp?diameter=14 I was lookin for some a while back and wanted the tallest 14 I could find and this chart helped me,I dont know what you are putting them on but a 215 14 is pretty small.
215-75-14 is the biggest mainstream radial made these days. Anything bigger and you have to go to Coker or Diamondback.
B.F.Goodrich Silvertowns from Coker. Iv'e had them on 2 cars, no problems, great handling, 3 1/2" whitewall . Hope this helps, BUCKD
Thanks for heads up; I have seen the expensive repro bias plys that are available, and trailer tires ( a no-no for cars). Cooper may be my best bet for plain old black walls..
I use the runway enduro 75's on my car. They are pretty cheap, like $60 something each. The white wall is wider than the average pinner white.
Running on my DD '64 fairlane C-dan on all 4 corners - GoodYear Viva 2 - P195/75-14" ... on tiny steel wheels. I will, however, be upgrading to 15" with a little more race inspired look. PACO
