  1. Anybody ever convert a 29 tudor model a into a sedan delivery? If so what conversion kit did you use , or did you convert it yourself with steel? Any pics? Thanks in advance, Steve

Have never done one but one of the fiberglass car co. has a kit.. Not sure which one.. Used to be a real popular conversion in the 70's and 80's....

Gibbon Fiberglass used to make a kit that really worked slick, I don't know if the new deal in Gibbon is making it again???

  4. Thanks guys . Gibbon's looks the best so far. Steve

in the late '70's , I used Gibbon rear upper quarters and used a left hand Tudor door in the stock reworked back panel

    worked out really nice

There's another outfit in southern Fla area is making one as well. I've only spoke with them, a small company I believe. Maybe someone knows who I'm talking about. I've got a 28 underway and have looked into the options. Ran into a guy at the Evansville Frogs and his was cracking at the point where the steel meets the glass. He commented that their all like that. I can't say as I don't know for myself...just was scared off as to think it would be a certainty that my new paint job would crack up in that area.
I google an outfit up north Michigan or so that did a custom metal fab job and had a kit for a 32 Sedan...now that was TITs.

Last bit of input....closing in the rear windows make for a bitch blind spot....IF I do it, I thinking that I'll keep the windows and follow the ways of the Flower Deliveries. Driving with blind spots sucks...I had a van once...watta bitch.

Let me know what you come up with. Good Luck

Here is the Fla company that is making the conversions....this is copied from their E-bay add:

We also make the Model A "Sedan Delivery Conversion Kits" (see pictures). We have 3 Delivery conversion kit molds and only two of us building the door kits so we don't need the third one and its for sale also (see pictures).
We can build these bodys in Tudor Sedan or a complete Sedan Delivery body. In the next few months we will have all four fender molds, running board molds, splash pan molds, 32 grill and hood top molds. If you are interested in anything we have just call Bill at (727)539-6295 or my cell (614)395-3111. Or you can email me direct at thundersrods@aol.com.
Please NO MORE DREAMERS or B.S.'ers.
Thank you for reading our ad. I hope to hear from anyone with questions you may have.

Lobeck had a real nice one in the 70's (not his 32) that used a Gibbon kit. We have several metal shops out here that can make you a steel kit but I don't know how much it would be. Teddy Z in MI is a great builder that has also built a nice one. I personally like the looks of the 29 sedan delivery. Go for it!

  11. Gibbon's is still looking the best. Anybody else pros or cons? Maybe doing it in steel would be best. I don't want cracks :( This project is a ways off, so lots of time to decide. I'm just trying to get ready so when the time comes I'll be ready ( yea right )Steve

I bought one of the Gibbon rear body panel and doors a couple of years ago, for a project that is coming up. I might copy them into metal, if I do, then the glass parts would be for sale.
