Saturday October 30 , Bluegr*** Dragway Racers Reunion.

Bluegr*** Dragway was located 5 miles South of Lexington , KY on US27. the track was opened in 1964 and the last drag race was held there in November of 1981. Former site of many NHRA Divison 3 races and IHRA Winston Points Series events.

The Reunion will feature a photo show program, old movies and Nostolgia drag cars on display. Old bench racing sessions and more.

OK, I saw that car at the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion. Nice job on the resto.
Thought it may have been one of those that ran locally. Again, any more Bluegr*** shots?

 

Reunion sounds like fun. Won't be able to be there, but wish I could. Spent many a Sunday afternoon there when a U.K. student from '66-'70. When living in dorm with no car as freshman, would hitchhike out for an enjoyable break from studies.

Am a huge Golden Angel fan and used to also love watching John Carter, Houchin Bros., and many Cincy area cars run there.

Hope you have a huge turnout that produces a bunch more previously hidden pics.
