Hot Rods Father and Son project finally under way

    OK, so it has always been my dream to build a car with my son. Typical story, mortgage, no time, blah, blah.....

    However life does p*** by pretty quick and all of a sudden my son turned 20 and I decided F*** it we are going get this thing done.

    This is the project that I bought from one of our fellow hamber's from Utah.

    We have been getting stuff together over the last 10 months or so and are working away.

    Power will be from a 3.8l Jaguar e-type engine, 3 carb intake, 4 speed with overdrive, ford 9", push steer with BMW steering box, American Racing 5 slots, 4" drop axle, coil overs, '61' Jag instruments, split windshield and whatever else we come up with.

    I will post pics as it starts to come together and apart and together and ...

    Wow, read your thread..I totally get it. Cam had 2 older siblings and has a younger sister. It takes awhile to get over these events in our lives that change things forever.

    Drivers door inner skin repair - took some time but I can't bring myself to pay $650 each for new door.

    Bear claw latches and new outer skins from Snyder's and they will look just fine

    nice project. wish i could get my son involved but he is consumed by xbox.

    Mine as well also p***y but I take what time I can get. He is anxious to drive it but understands that the old man can and will only do so much.
