I put the $ there so if you hate these types of posts you wouldn't have to open it! Looked at a 29 olds coupe the other day. It's all there, should run (I know the people and believe them), has a ton of extra stuff that is all there an straight. No rust thru anywhere. Kept inside. A lot of surface rust but the car is mostly in paint (original). Picked up on the doors and there was a little play so I think some of the wood is in need of work. (i have a 28 chevy so I know what that can be). Wooden wheels look in good shape. Told them the value should be between 3 and 5,000. I'm not interested but they are friends and wanted my opinion. What do you think? thanks! Jim
Jim, From your description I don't think you are far off the lower number being to someone who doesn't car about the original running gear etc and the upper price being to one who may want to do a restoration. My responmse is based on the availability of old olds parts to the restorer and the value of the same parts on the open market to the rodder.
Yep Thanks, Still not sure if I will make a play for it or not. Would LOVE to have it even if I can't do anything with it now. (Yes I can keep it in a safe place) Will post if I do. Jim
