1964 Fairlane 500

I need your help. I have a 64 Fairlane 500 w/260 v8 and a 2 speed trans. The trans will not shift until it gets to opperating temp. I have changed fluid & filter,modulator vave, and taken the governor apart and checked and cleaned it. Still will not shift until it reaches opperating temp. can anyone help?

 

Sure can its wore out. rebuild it or replace it.

 

Seals are all dried out and don't soften up until its warm. You need to get it rebuilt or change over to a green dot C4.
