I thought that I would share some pictures of a 1933 Ford Coupe that I found in an old sheep barn. I am fortunate enough to have a 1933 Ford 5 window coupe and not looking to buy another 5 window but have always hoped to get a 3 window some day.

There were a few pieces missing, someone had filled the top, it had an early type i-beam axle that was chromed along with some other items at one time and what looks to be an Oldsmobile rear end. pretty solid car

    enjoy

that is correct I did not try to buy it. I enjoyed talking with the owner and his wife and they mentioned that I could stop back whenever I was around that area. The owner also ask if I would mind leaving my number in case he had any questions about the car since I seemed to know a little about them.

Nice find! There is hope. Good luck on the elusive three window. I'd like to find one myself!

Maybe the owner wasn't ready to sell.

Nice find and it looks to be in really nice shape! If you can get it for a good price and can swing it, buy it.

Then look for a 3/w body. Once you find a 3/w, sell off the 5/w body to recoup some of the outlay.

Keep the chassis, tank, fenders, hood, grille, dash, etc. for the 3/w build.

The 5/w is better than $ in the bank. If you never find a 3/w, you'll have no problem selling this.

Maybe it wasn't for sale-or maybe pushing too hard would have soured a deal for later. Or, maybe the OP is just like the fishermen who like the thrill of the chase, but once it's caught, throw them back in. :)

  22. It's just sitting there and rotting away. Obviously nothing will be done to it by the current owner. Gotta be crazy to let that slip away and at least not try to get it done right. A scrapper, ignorant heir, or jackass will take care of that for you my friend. Come on dude.

If the 3/Ws are that hard to find, and the price is right on a 5W,how difficult can it be to convert it to a 3W,i know that 1st cut will be a knee trembler, but can it be done ? Gaz!

I'd like to hear the whole story...
How did you happen to find it?
How did you contact the owner?
Did the owner say he would, or would not, sell it?
And now, tell us, "the rest of the story."
