With a whole 63 HP, I would be amazed if it could keep up with the speed limit.

What if it's dropped from an SR-71 traveling at maximum velocity? There's been plenty of talk about SR-71s on here lately, why not throw that into the equation?

The only way to be sure is to take the car out and drive it, on a straight level road, and time it between 2 measured points. Both directions.

Such measurements were a standard part of road tests for years. You can find contemporary road tests for cars back to 1946, but I don't know of any for a 1941 Willys.

My best guess, based on the performance of similar cars, would be 72 - 75 MPH.

Yes, but how fast will it go once you engage the PTO, causing the two large blades under the deck to spin?

63 HP is approximately 1.21 Gigawatts, so I say 88 MPH.

So essentially, you're saying that one could theoretically cut the gr*** before it grows... Interesting conundrum. For if the gr*** hath not yet grown to be cut, then how'est doth one know he is in fact cutting the gr***, hence having actually traveled back in time?

Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the m***es, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
