50dodge you need to get a bead roller then you could start doing body lines and trim. That is if they make them small enough to do it. Once again every one you make gets better and better.

  19. I thought I needed to create an eyeball knob but there are some really nice ones out there so I tried to come up with something a little different.

How about an eyeball with flames on the side and interchangeable hats? Maybe not my best effort but it's ok.

First one has a Stroker McGurk style cap, then a German/surfer helmet and last is the king of the flaming eyeballs! I think they'll paint up well.

Maybe I should have a contest for new ideas?

Thanks for the compliment. I'm working on more detail, but I have a ways to go, I keep looking at different things that can/will give me some of the look I'm trying to get. Actually, probably the hardest part it to have both sides of the cars uniform in demension. These are welded with a mig welder, you get everything where you want it, pull the trigger and everything moves just a little before it sticks. LOL

I have a bead roller, but I think the 3/8" bead might be too big though... I have tried adding an 1/8" welding rod for side trim, but it looks too big for the size these cars are to me. Pictured is one with the 1/8" rod as side trim, so you can see what I mean. Also, the one pictured has a bolt with the threads I used for the grill, but I can't think of a way to carry the grill bars around the nose of the car, or any way to make a flat grill. These cars are about 1/24 scale model car size, or 8" to 10" long. Gene

I kind of now what your going through I used to make little hot rod monsters , and I'd make the cars a little bigger than a matchbox car. I would kill myself trying to do all the details microscopic one day I realized it would be alot easier to make it bigger. I was killing myself to do em because ia was a cheap bastard and didnt want to use much clay.

Anyways keep it up there looking good.
