Vintage speed equipment, oddball engines (372 Packard, 308 Hudson, 327 Rambler; going for a 56 302 GMC and 409 from a 63 COE 70 series).

Wire and wooden wheels, antique farm implements and similar for lawn and barn art.

Old Hollanders, Motors Manuals and factory shop manuals

Non auto: Early battery radios from the 20's and early 30's, Zenith Trans Oceanic vacuum tube portables, some Collins, National, Hammarlund and Hallicrafter military and short wave/ham receivers.

Pre 60's SF paperbacks and monthly pulps. Makes good reading on the shitter.

Computers. I sometimes have 15-20 in various stages of confusion. We have a transfer station in this town and people are always throwing them away. I do whats necessary to get many working and give them to kids here and surrounding towns whose parents wont or cant do it. Last week some idiot thru away a October 2004 dated, 2.5GHz Hewlett Packard Presario with 512M RAM, 80GB HD and DVD burner. CPU fan died and made it intermittent! I kept that one and got rid of a 1.2GHz.

Lawn tractors. Im constantly amazed what gets shitcanned at the transfer station. Most need only some electrical interlock/safety switches fixed or bypassed. Finding 12-18HP is common. I have 3 for various yard duties and another with a snowblower. I sell the others for a decent price.

  8. Had two wheelguns that I kicked myself for selling:(a Model 29 S&W with 4-way adjustable sights and a 10 5/8ths inch barrel.Had a gun dealer tell me they never made them as I pulled it out of it's case. One year only.Bought it from a guy in Colorado that used to hunt Dall Sheep with it.Sighted in for 100 yards. He carried it in a pouch;couldn't find a holster comfortable enough to use.
    Second was a Phelps custom.Patterned after a SA Colt;five rounds of .45-70. 8 1/2" barrel(normally 12").If you're into,"hammer bite" this is the gun for you.Cost $1200(and an 18 month wait)20 years ago.Traded it off for a bunch of other guns(but no more wheelguns).
My only lever now is a Marlin 336 in .44 Mag.Nice brush gun but not as nice as a Ruger.
My last favorite is made by Cobray and it's initials are,"S/S"and it is more fun than anyone should be allowed to have.

I have a very modest (not much money) collection of original hot rod art and some signed prints that I like.

I'm told if you hold the Cobray against your stomach & "lean" on the trigger it will empty like a full auto. Haven't tried it with mine. In fact I haven't had mine out in a long time: it's an old one with threaded barrel & I have a "barrel extension" & several 30-round clips. They are tough guns.

It's been so long since I've had sex, I can't remember who gets tied up.

  12. This one only holds 12 and there is no way you can rock and roll with it except pull the trigger each time.#4 works the best.

It's comes down to what DON'T I collect. LOL!!
Kind of narrowed it down to vinyl records. I have a 1954 Seeburg Jukebox (like the one in the intro to Happy Days). So I'm always looking for 45's.
I restored it myself and it almost plays like new(gotta give it the 'ol Fonzi punch every now and then).
Otherwise it's Adam West era Batman stuff and StarWars. Oh yeah, and Hotwheels, Muscle Machines, etc......

Whew! Some of you have "collections"like mine. My wife says it's junk when I come home with it, I try to tell her no "jewels". I like old tools ,lately old brass torches ,planes, brass locks etc.. . I have a neat collection of car horns , a couple sirens,30's up license plates, I like the smaller ones and motorcycle plates, beer related stuff [mainly JAX] ,BAR COASTERS ;HAVE SOME REALLY FUNNY ONES FROM ENGLAND,unusual hubcaps, coins and stamps, hotwheels,Texaco trucks, car art,tin signs, guns and knives, right now in my yard it looks like I collect trailers [how I ended up with 5 different trailers???
Most of my stuff was given to me by family and the stuff I liked I kept and it grew from there.:D

my addiction to 40s-on-up stuff is gettin a bit outta hand...i purchased a 1954 Magnavox TV set on ebay (for a whole dollar!) that actually works, but i'm replacing the tubes and stuff for better reception...that thing's the CADILLAC of vintage TVs! 20 inch screen and a good 12 inch speaker! the dude also gave me an old 60s RCA Victrola hi-fi unit that he couldnt get rid of that i think actually matches the Magnavox so i'm gonna try and keep em in the same room to compliment each other, even though my fiancee HATES it hehe..other than that,i've also gotten into the habit of collecting switchblades and other cool knives..my 1st switchblade was given to me as a gift and was a REAL Italian stilletto, fully assembled...after that i purchased a bunch of kits and pretty much can put them together with my eyes closed B-D i'm also really lucky to have a father who's a packrat like me and NEVER throws anything out....you cant walk through his garage without accidentally steppin on somethin cool..half the parts on my car are things he had laying in his garage, either removed back in the day to put somethin newer and faster on or stuff he has NO idea what it came off of..he's got everything from intakes and carbs lyin around to dizzys and complete engines..all tore apart and on the floor, but like a good hot rodder i know to pick off what i want!

Some of my newsgroups use cardomain.com, but I don't care for them. If you check your ISP should provide space (& directions) for a homepage - including pictures.

  25. Vintage cameras, mostly brownie box cameras...I still use the ones I can make 120 film work in.

    car parts, wierd ones.

Old photographs, whether I know the people or not, tintypes especially....

    19th century and earlier art

Lately, I have been interested in finding all the Old West stuff I can, my colt clone will do just fine until i can afford a 1st gen SAA

Man you guys are bigger hoarders than I am. I didn't think that was possible.

  28. All this time I thought I was sick.....

I collect RC cola stuff, gas pumps, porcelain signs(gas and oil), bicycles, tin motorcycle toys, Corvette whiskey decanters(most of mine are full  ) Corvette toys, COE truck cabs, orphan motor homes, Chevrolet dealer signs, PROJECT cars, car art(I even have a Jeem original!),a few guns(I ain't tellin WHAT....but Sonny Barrett<the 50cal machine gun guy> asked me to paint his 58 Corvette and I turned him down  ), meaningless sexual encounters, car magazines, ex-girlfriends, quart oil cans...did I say PROJECT cars?

Is there a 12 step program for collectors? :p

    Porn.
    The interweb variety.

    That, and insults.
I get quite afew of those.
    Apparantly, they are free.
If they charged money, I'd be rich.
    Thank you for the consideration.
