Fantastic What are the Heads? What have you done to the engine Is it possible to buy aftermarket speedparts like heads and intake? Thanks Tim
The heads are a no name finned aluminum head for $3800. The intake is $1000. I have put hard seats in the engine, bored, honed, acid dip, pressure seal, resurfaced, balanced, ground crank, ground cam to 3/4 specs, resized rods, stainless valves, isky springs, one piece guides, hollow body adjustable lifers. everything.
I remember way back in 60's the local Ford garage in Illinois had a 1941 Lincoln coupe in the back row with one of those engines. All for $100. I didn't have the $100! There's a guy here in the local flathead club with a 1941 Lincoln Continental with a sweet sounding stock V-12. You engine would make a great looking coffee table.
WOW expensive stuff but looking just fantastic I just bought a 41 and i having it send to denmark, Europe Crossed my fingers that it is restored as promised by seller I can see you are from H&H Flatheads, thats an amazing shop I hopefully goes to GNRS next year, is it possible to come and see the shop Are you regrinding cams or do you sell new cams What is really important to do, specific to improve an old flattie Lincoln, that Ford should have done back then, when restoring one, or is it the same as Ford Flatheads Thanks Tim
Not sure if you Merv Adkins out of Pamona or not but he built a bad *** stroker Lincoln V12. If I remember correct he only ran a 2 x 2 intake but that ****er would scream for a motor that was never designed to be a performer.
Nice!!!! I have a friend with a "41 Lincoln, his engine looks about the same, black, polished aluminum, just plain beautiful.
Did you regrind the cam and go with adjustables? ***embling mine right now with an Isky Max 1 grind done by Delta Cam, adjustable lifters, three Strombergs, stock heads for now but will change to finned aluminum down the road. Who did you get your heads from? tim
I agree Mike at H&H builds nice V8 and V12 to notch operation. I have only build a dozen of these V12 and 3 V8 Flathead they are great engines. Here a few pictures of my V12 in my 32 all steel. The first two pictures is when I had install the engine on the ch***is. Thanks Frenchy
I want that. On a custom stand IN MY LIVING ROOM! That thing is too nice to put in a car! Nice work!~
Very pretty build! Reminds me of a 36 Zephyr I was drooling over in the late 70's in SLC. The guy owned a wrecking yard full of ancient cars that he would not sell. I don't know what happened to the cars or the yard, but do know that in the early 80s it was part of the area that got flooded by the Great Salt Lake.
